This was by far the BEST Halloween I have ever spent celebrating! Last year, Justin and I had all these plans on family costumes that we wanted to do with Kaeden. He really wanted to do the Adam’s family this year, mostly so we could draw a mustache on our little guy and it be socially acceptable for one night. We didn’t realize coordinating family costumes is harder than it seems, and more time consuming. And with Halloween falling on the beginning of the work week, we just didn’t have enough time so we decided to settle for the minimalist option for ourselves and focus on a costume for Kaeden. Maybe next year we will get our family costumes together earlier so we match … haha!
Justin meet us straight from work so he wore a batman t-shirt (hidden beneath his sweater, haha!) I had this black fuzzy sweater tucked away in my closet so I order myself some cat ears from forever 21 and threw together this quick cat costume. We had come up with a few costume ideas for Kaeden but we couldn’t really decide what we wanted to dress him up as, cause well, we wanted them all! But we decidedly went with this Max costume – from the book Where the Wild Things Are. Kaeden didn’t mind the overhead crown portion and it kept him nice and warm plus he looked so darn adorable – it worked out perfectly!
Not a lot of time was spent actually trick-or-treating with a 10 month old but we took him around a few neighborhoods. I have to say it was well worth it. We got to show him off to a few family friends that lived close by and in the end mommy and daddy scored some candy!
