WE SAID ‘I DO’! | Paris (Part 1)

They are here! Our wedding pictures are here! I am so beyond thrilled to share some pictures from OUR WEDDING DAY with you guys! It was truly the most magical day ever and I still get butterflies just thinking about it!! I probably should mention that planning a wedding in Paris was NOT our original plan. We had gotten engaged on Thanksgiving while I was still pregnant and we knew that we wanted to wait a while to have our wedding so that Kaeden would be old enough to be in the ceremony. Which I don’t know why, cause he ended up sleeping through the whole ceremony anyway lol With a lot – and I mean A LOT – of family and friends between the two of us, our typical fairtytale wedding in Chicago just wasn’t possible. So Justin had the brilliant idea to make it a small, intimate wedding/vacation with just us and our immediate family. BEST. IDEA. EVER. ( I knew I was marrying a keeper ๐Ÿ˜‰ ) haha!

I always fantasized about the day that I walked down the aisle to my husband, but never did I imagine that we would have done it in such an intimate setting. But honestly, I couldn’t imagine it any other way now. We got to focus on each other, our love and shared it with those nearest and dearest to us.ย  Also, it gave us the freedom to include Kaeden – which was SO important to us.

Since we had such a large group, in Paris terms, we decided to do our wedding in the Paris Perfect apartment rental that we were staying at. It was way more convenient for us with Kaeden. We didn’t have to worry about him getting home for bed or anything because our venue was home (talk about a life saver). It actually worked out so well. The apartment had a beautiful fireplace that was recreated for the ceremony with the most stunning florals. I was seriously thinking about how I could sneak them home ๐Ÿ˜› And the nice part was that there was enough space for everyone there.

We had the most amazing team of people, from the flowers down to the dinner, that made our day so incredibly special for us. I don’t know what we would have done without them! They all made our dream come true, and created such an amazing memory for us to look back on.

I am a little sad with the ceremony now behind us, but I am excited to share that the party doesn’t end there! In August, we will be having a post-wedding celebration with family and friends!!! (think backyard BBQ, with a twist). Okay, so I know you’re probably tired of me rambling on so, here it is. This has been such an amazing journey that ended with me marrying my best friend and the man of my dreams. I am sooooo excited for what the future hold for us and spending the rest of my life with this husband of mine. He makes me weak in the knees!!!

I hope that you enjoy these moments with us and at the end of all of this, I hope that the biggest thing you take from it is not the dress, the setting, the shoes, but that the greatest thing that you’ll ever learn, is just to love and be loved in return.
