28 THINGS, FOR 28 YEARS!

Today is my bbeeerrrffffday! It’s still so crazy to think that I am 28 big one’s – and still feeling FAB-U-LOUS! I feel like I just had my 21st birthday, ok, ok, 25th 😛 So, to celebrate, I thought it’d be fun to share with you 28 things, for 28 years!

  1. Good Vibes, ONLY! – I used to be very reserved, in a lot different areas in my life but not anymore. I am more myself than ever and I don’t allow half truths, shadiness or negativity into my life anymore – no matter where it comes from. Nobody has time for that! And let me tell you – It has made so much room for good things to flow in!!!
  2. I have learned to love my name – This one took me a while. I always used to get so embarrassed growing up with such a unique name but I’ve learned to embrace it.
  3. It’s ok to put myself first – Ok, I’m overdue for a good, quality, ‘me, myself and I’ date. I know I’ve probably talked about this way too much, but I feel like it’s so important. I can’t not tell you how much I struggled in the beginning when Kaeden was born. I wasn’t taking care of myself the way I should have and I was driving myself crazy. Mental health is so important. Sometimes you just need to walk away from all the stressors and recharge. It’s a little easier said than done with #momlife but when it does happen, it’s the bomb.com!
  4. I am obsessed with my kid – How could I not be?! My munchkin is the best thing that has ever happened and he brings so much light and love into my life, every single day.
  5. Baby Fever is R.E.A.L. – Yes, it is. ha! Justin and I have talked about having more kids and I am definitely starting to feel that itch again. Who knows … maybe sometime this year it will happen. 😉
  6. Traveling with a kid isn’t so bad – Once you get the hang of it. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a lot of work and exhausting at times but nothing beats sharing the world with your little one.
  7. Mornings – Never have been. Never will be a morning person. Not gonna happen.
  8. Married life is the best life – Helps that I have the most amazing HUZBAND (love you babe!)
  9. Being a mom has made me more genuine – Um, yes. I don’t have the energy to sugar coat anything these days.
  10. Enjoy the small things – cause the big things will come … and they will probably hard. So I try my best to live in the moment with my boys and hold on to those memories for later.
  11. I am proud of my body – Hell yea, I am! After having a baby, I am even more proud of my body and how much it has endured.
  12. Don’t worry. Be happy. – dooooooo, do, do dodododooo, dododo, dododo, doooo, dodododododooo, dodododododoooo, don’t worry, be happy!
  13. I’m nervous to cut my hair – I just can’t do it! I’ve been playing with the idea of switching up my hairstyle and going a bit shorter but after having a boy cut in college (literally, picture a boy cut on my head. Yea, my thoughts exactly) and several other bad haircut experiences, I am petrified to even cut anything more than an inch off.
  14. I’m not a woman, I’m a force of nature – woman are so powerful and I am so blessed to have met so many incredible gals who are just killing the game so far on this blogging journey of mine! Who run the world? GIRLS! 😉
  15. Great friends > Many friends – quality over quantity. Always. Find your tribe. Stick with them.
  16. I’m more social now than I ever was – Justin and I were just talking about this. It’s so funny because I was so incredibly shy when I was younger. I was always so timid and nervous around certain people or cared so much of what people thought. Now a days, I could care less what others think and love getting to know people! (If you ever see me around and I don’t want to talk, I’m probably just realllllyyyyyy tired)
  17. I still have ‘baby brain’ – I thought this would go away but nop. It has stuck with me. There are times where I am just so spacey, it’s ridiculous.
  18. I am a clean freak – Even with a munchkin running around, I still manage to keep things tidy in the house. Clutter just drives me nuts!
  19. I can’t do street names for the life of me – I don’t know what it is about street names but I have never been able to remember them for the life of me. Justin will be driving and say a street name and I’m like where’s that? HAHA! I’m a landmarks kinda gal 😀
  20. Forever a bed hog – till the day I die. Sorry babe!
  21. Coffee.Coffee.Coffee. – A Grande latte with lots and lots of flavored non-dairy creamer, please!
  22. Avocado Toast is LIFE – so is Chipotle. and Buddha Bowl’s. And dairy-free Ice Cream … Ok, maybe I should’ve named this one food is life 😛
  23. I make the weirdest thinking face – I have no idea where it comes from or why I do it, but I will be sitting there and Justin will get my attention and make fun of me. hahaha! Funny thing is now Kaeden has started to do it too.
  24. I am a crier – It’s on a whole other level lately. Sad part in a movie, commerical, tv show, and I’m balling.
  25. Reality T.V. is my quilty pleasure – Sorry, not sorry!
  26. I have a tweezing problem – Hi. I’m Vania and I have a problem. Justin hates this one (probably because he is the subject of this torture, ha!) but I LIVE to pluck hairs off of other people. When I see random hairs, I’m like YYYYEEESSSSSS!!! It’s sick, I know. But there is something about tweezing hairs that’s so satisfying!
  27.  I am in desperate need on a mani/pedi – TMI?
  28. I laugh at my own jokes – I can tell a joke to Justin, or have a smart comeback when we’re goofing off and I will just bust out laughing, uncontrollably at my own jokes.

Happy happy birthday! I am with you on needing a mani/pedi (SO overdue), not being a morning person (but trying SO hard to rise early and shine), and saying NO to clutter, among other things. Love learning more about you!

I would totally say let’s go together, girl cause these nails are in need of some major TLC! That means so much girl, cause it is so nerve wrecking sometimes to put yourself out there and be transparent. I just hope that I can show my true authentic self to you all! xoxo
